A Tree of Wonder - Team members: Lucy Duckworth, Stella Li, Sejoon Chang
This project was inspired by the feeling of burnout and loneliness, especially felt within the confines of the dorm room, as well as the desire to “escape” those feelings. We were inspired by the beautiful, dreamy landscapes of games like Monument Valley and films like Castle in the Sky to create a world that transported the user into a space that centered tranquility, calm, andbeauty. Ultimately, we tried to highlight how perspective can alter one’s reality completely.
This project was a vessel for all of our creative ambitions—we learned how to iterate on an idea and truly bring it to life using the tools we were given, specifically focusing on developing our design skills within applications like Figma. Within Figma, we created interactive components, mini-games, and animated graphics. Cohesive storytelling was another significant component of our learning experience. We were able to transform our ideas into a real tangible product.

About Me Page - Figma Experimentation
This About Me page was an experimentation of understanding different flow + animation systems within Figma. The soft colors and fonts were chosen to align with my inner personality. I attempted to categorize my About Me Page by my artworks, design works, and photos.

Visual Frontiers Design 170. Hoodie Design
Hoodie design for my Design 170 class. This digital painting was created using Procreate and the logo and hoodie design was created using Figma.

Simple Study.
This is a study app I am currently creating using Figma.

ECHO Closet
Echo Closet is a sustainability oriented closet app I created with my Stanford Women in Desing (SWID) teammates. We focused on the quesetion of "How might we create an interface to help young, college aged women better curate and maximize her closet while being conscientious of sustainable/ethical sourcing and disposal methods."
- The process of creating
User interviews among our peers and classmates, wireframing the main features, figma mockup with a low fidelity prototype, branding and color decisions as a group, high fidelity prototype
- What the app does
Creates a reflection of one’s closet and clothing choices. Overall goal is to help someone create a closet that they enjoy wearing and with pieces they wear often. Thus the name, echo.
- What features the app provides
Provides an option to choose what you are wearing/ put together an outfit, you can add clothing items or remove them. When removing clothing items, you are given a popup with the nearest donation centers given your current location. Additionally, it provides a stats page that will summarize some key items worn, and some sustainability metrics such as the percentage of your closet that is actually worn.

Creating Logos for Simple Study.
This is my experimentation process of creating a logo design for Simple Study. I attempted to create a recognizable, minimalistic logo that aligns with the core values of Simple Study: simple, minimal, and flexible.

TRAPPED
The Earth is a precious place to live, and it is amazing to see the endless resources humans take for granted. After all, we, humans are further destroying this beautiful planet day after day. My digital art piece, "Trapped" is also based on the human impacts on marine life. This art piece reflects marine animals being trapped inside the mischievous actions by human beings. I clearly depicted my thoughts of an ideal ocean slowly being polluted by dark and cloudy bits of waves which resemble the human impacts. To portray the animals' willingness to get out, I added in numerous dark waves and bright colored waves which both border the animals from a utopian ocean above and a polluted ocean below. Furthermore, I chose to centralize my artwork on the polar bear, one of the most widely known marine mammals which symbolize hope and strength. Hence, I tried to include a sense of hope and change by using this symbolic animal as my central focus. In the end, I believe that the process of creating this artwork really made me perceive how impactful our past and present actions are to millions of organisms including ourselves.
